Eco Power is a 501(c)(3), community-based non-profit dedicated to helping create a Green, energy independent future. We promote and install primarily solar power systems but also a range of other sustainability solutions.
As a non-profit, all net profits go to helping build a Green world. We utilize volunteer work, government subsidies, and donated contributions to bring the costs down for the community. We feel it is essential for our business to reflect the values of unity, compassion and equality.

Brian Tate, Chairman - Georgia State University graduate, writer and long-time Green enthusiast. Brian has worked more or less full time in the non-profit field since 2004 when he founded the parent non-profit organization that would eventually lead to Eco Power several years later. He has met with such people as former Mayor of Atlanta Shirley Franklin and Za' of Arrested Development on promoting solutions to a better world. |

Steve Fortuna, Director of Engineering - Steve has 20+ years of network/telecom engineering experience, managing data center and fiber plant buildouts for some of the world's largest carriers. He became passionate about renewable energy after receiving a $320,000 power bill while at Level3 Communications, and vowed to do something about it. Receiving his Bachelors from NYU, Steve is a member of the Green Data Center Alliance, Southface LEED program, the US Solar Energy Association, the SunSpec Alliance, Green Chamber of the South, Building Owners and Managers Association, Society of Cable/Telephony Engineers (SCTE), Gearson Lehrman Council of Advisers and is a NABCEP Certified Photovoltaic Installer. |

Adam Smith, Director of Operations - Adam began work in the non-profit sector as a volunteer, passing out flyers related to Green energy alternatives on the streets of Atlanta. He was surprised by the lack of information available to the average energy consumer regarding renewable alternatives, and decided to take action. Now, Adam manages the day-to-day operation of Eco Power, helping to achieve both short- and long-term goals that will steer our organization within a highly competitive and profit-driven market. Adam also manages the website and a community intranet, keeping communication lines open and connecting people to critical resources. |

Elke Weiss, Marketing Director - Elke joined Eco Power to focus her valuable skills on marketing environmentally-aware energy solutions. Her drive to promote the use of renewable energy sources was inspired by the advances she has seen in her native country of Germany, such as the widely accepted use of solar panels on rooftops. As a member of the Eco Power team, she is applying her combined 10+ years of professional business management skills and international experience, along with an MBA degree, to expand the acceptance and use of solar and other renewable energy sources. In this way she is achieving her goals of reducing the impact on the environment, gaining energy independence from finite fossil-based resources and sustaining the quality of life in America.. |
